By UV bonding, double-fluid bonding, and frit bonding, Natsume binds not only its lenses together but also glass parts and metallic holders. Lenses as small as 1.2 mm in diameter (spherical lens) or 1 mm on each side (cube-type beam splitter) can be bonded. We can also produce fly-eye integrators (drum lens and cylindrical lens combined) and achromatic cylindrical lenses. Moreover, Natsume can assemble these bonded lenses in a lens barrel. Natsume's lens array, which is a plate studded with an array of lenses, can be as precise as 0.02 mm in the X-Y focal point error. With the newly installed ion-assist depositor for low-temperature deposition, it is now possible to leave a deposit on a variety of substrates after bonding. Many other applications are also available.
